    aespa’s latest EP ‘Drama’ sells over 1 million copies in first week

    Espa’s Their latest EP “Drama” sold over 1 million copies, making them the third girl group album in a row to sell over 1 million copies.

    According to Hanteo Chart, a music sales tracking company, aespa’s fourth EP “Drama”, released on November 10th, sold 1.13 million copies in the first week after its release.

    This feat follows on from their previous releases, 2nd EP “Girls” which sold over 20 million copies and 3rd EP “My World” which sold over 2 million copies.

    “Drama” also topped the digital album sales chart on the Chinese music streaming platform QQ Music, and received double platinum certification, which is given to albums with sales of 2 million yuan ($27.6 million).

    In addition to new music, aespa is also introducing experimental events for fans to experience.

    The group recently premiered a virtual reality (VR) concert titled “LinkPop: 1st VR Concert aespa” on October 25th at the Megabox COEX Theater in Gangnam District, southern Seoul, and on Tuesday It will be performed until.

    After the VR concert, the group on Friday launched a Metaverse community named “aespa World” on Naver’s Metaverse platform Zepeto in collaboration with music technology company Verses.

    The newly created Metaverse community is based on the group’s cultural world and features the group’s songs, including “Drama,” the lead and title track from their latest album.

    aespa debuted from SM Entertainment in 2020. The group consists of four members: Karina, Winter, Gisele, and Ningning. The group is known for songs such as “Next Level” (2021), “Savage” (2021), and “Spicy”.
