    Cenergy Power Awarded Illinois Shines Community-Driven Community Solar Project

    ALISO VIEJO, CA / ACCESSWIRE / November 6, 2023 / energy powera leading community solar power provider, today announced that it has received a Community-Driven Community Solar (CDCS) award from the Illinois Shine Program for a 5 MWac solar power project in Madison County, Illinois.

    CDCS projects are awarded based on their commitment to providing direct and tangible benefits to the communities in which they operate, but the 2023 CDCS projects in the Ameren Illinois Public Works District are There were only 4 cases. To ensure these local benefits are achieved, Cenergy receives and manages tax-deductible charitable contributions in community solar projects for the benefit of the Edwardsville area community and its residents. , in partnership with Edwardsville Community Foundation (ECF), a distributing charitable trust.

    As part of this partnership, Cenergy Power will donate at least $400,000 directly to ECF and $60,000 to Madison County to benefit local communities. Additionally, Cenergy and ECP will coordinate an awareness campaign of more than 20% electricity bill savings for local subscribers of clean energy generated by the project.
