Dubai: 10 Start-Ups That Will Shape The Metaverse Industry

    (MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Ten companies have graduated as part of the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) Metaverse Accelerator programme. This program will shape the Metaverse industry in the UAE and globally.

    Mohammad Al Bourushi, CEO of DIFC Innovation Hub, which was launched in February 2023, said the program has received a great response from various start-ups from different sectors around the world. Ta.

    He added that 64 startups are from the UAE, 18 from the UK, 15 from the US, 12 from India and five from France.

    The Metaverse Accelerator Program was designed to attract leading startups from around the world to work on the next step in blockchain technology: the Metaverse. It is also in line with the UAE's strategy to become a world leader as a metaverse economy, which outlines the future of the region and the world.

    Companies that have successfully graduated from this program include Artichoke Labs, Cognitive Technologies, GoPal, Daoversal, DoDocs, Duverse, Flan, Intelligent Assist, Evometa, and ShopDoc.

    Artichoke Labs works with augmented reality to create city-scale applications based on a proprietary 3D map pipeline and Visual Positioning System (VPS).

    Another startup, Daoversal, offers a virtual world where creators and players can build, own, and monetize social gaming experiences on blockchain.

    Intelligent Assist aims to revolutionize the healthcare environment by providing doctors with relevant, data-driven insights just in time.

    Evometa helps developers and hotels sell real estate online by creating high-quality digital products on the web and in virtual reality.

    Born in India, ShopDoc is building the largest platform for smart clinics run almost entirely by women micro-entrepreneurs.

    “Dubai is an attractive city that attracts the Metaverse and the world is watching what is happening in Dubai in terms of its growth. The Metaverse is an evolving space and is still in its infancy. Many companies is in its early stages and people are just getting started,” Al Balushi said.
