The Philippines is gearing up to host its first-ever Metaverse Fashion Gala in partnership with internationally renowned fashion designer Michael Cinco and Philippine Blockchain Week (PBW), a three-day blockchain technology conference.
Tickets for this exclusive fashion show, which takes place at the Marriott Grand Ballroom at Newport World Resort in Manila on September 18th, are on sale now. Fashionista attendees will enjoy a runway showcase of Cinco’s signature items while enjoying pre-show cocktails and a five-course gourmet dinner. Both physical and virtual catwalks will be held, with model avatars showing off the same outfits in the metaverse. Collectors can purchase their favorite pieces in limited pre-sales. It comes with both a physical gown and a digital collection as a special edition bonus.
PBW will open the floodgates to thousands of spectators at the same venue the next day, and the event will run from September 19th to 21st. Conference attendees will also enjoy Cinco’s iconic designs in a wide range of costumes displayed throughout the PBW Convention Hall.

This year’s conference Metaverse Fashion Gala is more than just a for-profit event, with a portion of the proceeds going to two charities. Half of the money raised by an international youth empowerment organization called the Global Reskilling Movement will be received, and the other half will be donated to the World Wide Fund for Nature, which helps protect endangered species.
