Canada is a country in the northern part of North America. Stretching from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean and north to the Arctic Ocean, she is 9.98 million square kilometers (3.85 million square miles) in area, making her the second largest country in the world in terms of total area.

Its southern and western borders with the United States are 8,891 kilometers (5,525 miles) long, making it the longest bilateral land route in the world. Canada’s capital is Ottawa and its three largest metropolitan areas are Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.
