According to a February 6 statement, tech giant Google has launched its own AI-powered chatbot, Bard, to compete with ChatGPT.
The success of ChatGPT has sparked interest in artificial intelligence tools. Google is now taking this threat seriously by launching its own AI chatbot.
Company employees have previously expressed concerns about Google’s competitiveness in AI, and Microsoft-backed OpenAI has dominated the scene since ChatGPT launched in late 2022.
Speaking anonymously, the employee said a Google chatbot named “Bard” generated detailed answers similar to ChatGPT. And in another unit, we test a new search design using a question-and-answer format.
Google Said:
“Bard seeks to combine the breadth of the world’s knowledge with the power, intelligence and creativity of our large language models. increase.
Why Google is doubling down
An internal memo seen by CNBC indicated that the company had been prioritizing the development of tools like ChatGPT for some time. Google is best known for its search engine, but the company has long established itself as an AI pioneer.
With the release of ChatGPT by OpenAI, it has become a symbol of progress in AI. Not only that, but OpenAI is backed by Google competitor Microsoft, who invested his $1 billion in the startup in 2019.
Following ChatGPT’s success, Microsoft is now investing $10 billion in the startup, which will give it access to its AI systems. Microsoft has announced that it will integrate ChatGPT into his Bing search engine to improve the product and gain Google’s market share.
Google Launches ChatGPT Competitor Bard
Bard is one of the products currently being tested by Google and is intended to be a direct competitor to ChatGPT. This product is developed using the Language Model for Conversational Applications (LaMDA).
CNBC reported indicates that Google is beta testing ChatGPT. Both have similar interfaces, but Bard can provide answers about recent events, while ChatGPT is only up to date with 2021, so it can’t do that yet.
Another comparison is, “There are three women in the room. Two of them are mothers and have just given birth. Now the father of the children walks in. What is the total number of people in the room?”
LaMDA correctly answered the question that there are seven. ChatGPT replied that she will be 5.
However, an internal memo stated that ChatGPT’s coding prowess could lead to employment as a Level 3 Engineer for coding positions. However, it did not state its product rating.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai said:
“We are initially releasing with a lightweight model version of LaMDA. I can.”
ChatGPT Rivals Rise
Meanwhile, Google isn’t the only one making ChatGPT a competitor. MetaNews recently reported that his Baidu, the Chinese search engine giant, is building a similar product and is integrating it into his own website.
In addition to these tech giants, other companies such as Microsoft are also investing in several other artificial intelligence (AI) products.
