    Bandai Namco Group announced on September 15th that Gundam Metaverse would be open to fans in Japan and the United States for a limited time of two weeks starting October 6th, and registration began on the same day.

    Bandai Namco Group introduced the concept of “Gundam Metaverse” in 2020. This metaverse is not just for the purpose of providing content. It also aims to serve as a platform where users can interact with each other and create virtual communities. The company envisions expanding this virtual space in stages. The first installment of “Gundam Metaverse” will focus on Gundam plastic models (Gunpla).

    UGC Museum

    The centerpiece of the Metaverse will be a UGC (user-generated content) museum where users can display photos and 3D CG of their Gunpla creations. Furthermore, Bundai collaborated with Sony Group Corporation to develop high-precision 3D scanning technology. This will allow users to display 3D images of Gunpla models within the Metaverse.
