    Is the Metaverse Heading Next? Cemetery? A year and a half after its release, the Metaverse remains unpopular despite millions of dollars in corporate investment and expensive marketing campaigns. The most well-funded Metaverse apps include 38 daily active users, and Microsoft and Disney have laid off specially designated Metaverse teams.

    In its initial hype, Meta overestimated the desire and demand for virtual reality. Meta could be our generation’s MySpace, soon to be superseded by something better, or it could be our generation’s inability to account. The materialized nature as the bearer of the image.

    We tend to be frustrated with our bodies and relationships, but we still crave “face-to-face” interactions and experiences. Because our bodies are real, and so is the physical world. Even the most beautiful photos can’t replace seeing the Grand Canyon up close.

    Digital imitations don’t change who we really are, our body and mind, our “living souls” made in God’s image.
