Maison Margiela has a new CEO, and from next month Gaetano Ciuto will fill the position vacated by Gianfranco Gianangeli in May, the OTB-owned brand announced Monday.
Stefano Rosso also took over the chairmanship of Maison Margiela from his father, OTB Chairman Renzo Rosso, who has held the position since the group’s acquisition of Maison Margiela in 2002. Stefano Rosso and Shute will both report to OTB CEO Ubaldo Minnelli.
“Mr Stefano will carry a huge responsibility, but this appointment marks an important step in his career,” said Renzo Rosso in a statement. “Stefano’s new role and the addition of Gaetano will be decisive in increasing the brand’s potential and taking it into its next phase of expansion.”
