Meta Quest 2, formerly known as Oculus Quest 2, consists of VR glasses and two touch controllers that record hand movements and provide haptic feedback. Practical: Thanks to the built-in battery and 256 GB of memory, the headset works without a direct connection to his PC or console. This not only avoids cumbersome cable clutter, but also saves significant power. You can access the Oculus App Store without a direct connection, but other Play Stores can only be accessed with a cable connection.

Stiftung Warentest takes a closer look at six different VR headsets in its January 2023 issue. Meta Quest 2 has an overall rating of 2.1 (“good”), which puts him in third place, earning him the title of “price performance winner”. Valve and HTC’s frontrunners were priced at over €1,000. Our test editors praised the cable-free freedom of movement and the easy setup possible without a PC. The battery lasted about 3 hours. The glasses also scored “good” in the individual categories of comfort, usability and VR quality. The only drawback is that there are gaps in the data protection declaration. Unfortunately this is true for all the devices we tested.
