OpenSea has launched a new NFT aggregator marketplace aimed at professional collectors. This new platform, called OpenSea Pro, was previously called Gem v2. This is an improved version of the Gem that OpenSea acquired in his April 2022 purchase.
When the company announced its acquisition of Gem last year, it said the decision was part of its strategy to integrate professional traders into its business model.
“As the NFT community grew, we recognized the need to better serve our more experienced ‘pro’ users and provide more flexibility and choice to people of all levels of experience,” said the CEO. Devin Finzer writes. blog post April last year.
Twelve months later, despite the current market downturn, a new and improved aggregator platform has emerged.
The company recently lost its position as Blur’s leading NFT marketplace in terms of sales. The two companies have also had a series of battles amid the creator fee frenzy.
In a blog post published Tuesday, OpenSea calls its new platform “the most powerful NFT marketplace aggregator.” According to the announcement, the platform will allow professional collectors to “discover the best deals and insights on 170 markets.”
But that’s not all. OpenSea Pro offers NFT collectors an accessory of sophisticated tools to enhance their trading experience.
Live cross-chain marketplace data allows collectors to discover collections and user activity, including trending mints, in real time.
You can also set advanced orders based on item maximum prices, item quantities, and characteristics, and use the Instant Sale feature to get the best prices for your items.
Other notable features of the OpenSea Pro platform include advanced inventory management tools, optimized gas rates, watchlists and batch transfers.
According to OpenSea, the platform is specifically designed for the most active NFT traders, dubbed the “power user community”, which represents a significant part of the NFT ecosystem.
“Every user has different needs, and going forward, OpenSea’s platform will reflect the needs of these different user segments in its user interface, features, and pricing. blog post on tuesday.
The company has launched a limited-time promotion that allows users to list items from their most popular collections on OpenSea for free through OpenSea Pro. There are no additional costs for the new platform, but the fee is set to revert to his 2.5% of OpenSea’s regular fee when the promotion expires.
“Long-term, as OpenSea Pro serves more advanced power users, OpenSea’s roadmap will focus on improved discovery, simplified onboarding, more mainstream payment options, and creator tools (including Drops). We will focus on making greater investments in ,” Finzer wrote.
