Comments on the Spotselfie Metastore
Ray Shinler, Co-Founder, Vice President and Director of Product Development at Spotselfieexplained the importance of preparing students for the “future of the Metaverse.”
Such efforts, he continued, began with promoting digital twins as SMEs before large organizations “gained a foothold in the metaverse digital landscape.”
Further explaining, Mr. Singler said:
“Our aim is to help decentralize the big players in the Web3 industry and allow organizations of all sizes to participate in its development. while facilitating new entrepreneurial opportunities for students.”
Students receive their first Meta Store for free and can register an account. You can then access a 100-foot-wide circle of geocached real estate to place your AR metastore.
Spotselfie’s platform allows users to pop advertisements for services and items. Also, the store owner retains his 100% of all proceeds from services at that location.
Singler added that the feature could give students a way to enhance their shops and services, while also “bridge the gap between traditional business models and the new digital world.”
Decentralized advertising metaverse
The news comes after XR Today spoke with Shingler about Spotselfie’s advertising metaverse, explaining the platform’s feature-rich capabilities.
The veteran executive has worked with multiple technology giants such as IBM, Intel, Cisco, and HP for digital mobile solutions.
He explained at the time how Spotselfie’s privacy-focused platform aims to avoid data mining of personal details and information. His company’s solution hoped to pioneer a more human-centric, decentralized and profitable AR social metaverse via the urMojo social platform.
The first Spotselfie app recently launched at Purdue University’s Purdue Social Metaverse in West Lafayette, Indiana. The initiative provided companies with leased “Spotlands” to expand their outreach with AR-backed technology.
